Hangin With Zoey
Poopers just had her new baby boy on friday morning so it gave Bears and I a chance to have Zoey all to ourselves for a few hours. It was some good times. Towards the end they both started to get pretty tuckered out so we got about 5 minutes of lazy couch time in while they watched some ABC videos.

Zoey
We just got back from an 8 day trip to Washington and Bears really missed his friend Zoey. He couldn't stop talking about her for the entire trip and kept thinking that he'd seen her and insist that we go after any fair haired girl who passed by just to make sure it wasn't her. When we got home and started catching up on Pooper's blog, Bears couldn't get enough of the pictures of Zoey. I didn't think to start filming it until he'd been fawning over her for over 5 minutes so in the video, most of his initial excitement had worn off. You can still get a pretty decent idea though.

Summertime
And the livin' is easy...
He's also gotten really into playing basketball this year. And by that I mean that every time he sees the basketball he yells "BA!! BA BA BA!!" and then runs around in circles with it.
He was pretty pumped about this fire hydrant and kept giving it hugs. I like to think that he thought it was a fellow baby who just happened to be in some sort of red space suit.
Lately he's been really into getting out onto this tarp that our landlord has set up in the backyard. It's especially great after a rainstorm when the dips in the tarp have filled up with water, leaves, and bugs.
Here he is about to take a drink out of the band aid-ridden water. It was a close call but I intervened just in time. I suppose I ought to mention that it was his band aid from earlier that day...even though that makes for a much less exciting tale.
Often times he enjoys just sitting and hanging out. For up to 30 seconds at a time.
And of course he enjoys hangin' out with the Kins.
Bears is really enjoying this summer. Especially since he's big enough this year to beat the heat by playing in his swimming pool.

Park Adventures...and Too Much Dr Who
I was looking at this picture trying to think of an appropriate caption but it kept eluding me because Dr Who kept popping in my head. It's a british show that features this time traveller dude who's always got an attractive female companion with him and they travel through space and time on crazy adventures. Which is clearly what Bears and Kins are doing up there.
Bear cub looking out of his time machine before venturing out.
These outside pictures were taken from Tess' phone. Pretty impressive for a phone camera.
| See the resemblance? No? Well, like I said, we've been watching a bit too much dr who so I may have lost some perspective. |

Bears and Kins
Locke is quite understandably smitten by the fair haired beauty of miss Zoey. The above picture is a sneak peek of their first professional photo shoot. I think Bears just wanted photo evidence that she actually hangs out with him.
They've been seeing each other pretty regularly since he was born but are just now starting to notice each other. Well...parts of each other, if I'm really being honest. One of them will suddenly discover a hand and proceed to mash it, while the other notices an eyeball and attempts to scoop it out to get a better look. Ahh young love. Has it been so long that I've forgotten these initial courting rituals?
